Beavers visit Hogwarts

Date: 18th Nov 2019 Author: Alex Fairbrother

One cold Friday night in November, young people from Dorking 1stand 24th were invited to take up their places at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!

Our Beavers were initially sorted into their houses and then got to try their hand at making wands, herbology, potion making, defence against the dark arts and so much more.  In amongst all the fun was a lot of independent learning, making beds, washing up, unpacking/packing and for many this was their first night away from family.  We were very pleased to award nights away badges from level 1 through to 5 along with their Creative activity badge. We have received fantastic feedback from the young people and their families and can not wait to agree with them the theme they would like for the next one!
