Group Uniform Policy

We expect Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts to attend in full, smart uniform each week, including the Group Necker, unless otherwise advised by the Section Team.

The Group activity T-shirt may be worn during the Summer Term or on occasions specified by the Section Team, and should always be worn with the Necker when used.  These can currently be purchased from the Group at a cost of £10.

Parents and carers are responsible for purchasing uniform items, with the exception of the Group Necker and badges, which are provided through the joining fee.

We believe uniform helps create a sense of belonging, pride and cohesion within the Group. Consistently attending without the appropriate uniform may result in young people being asked to return home to change.

When wearing uniform, both at meetings and in public, all members are expected to behave in a way that reflects positively on the Group.

Replacement items:

• Necker – £10 each
• Woggle – £1.50 each

We also keep a selection of pre-loved uniform at the Scout Hut, available in exchange for a small donation.

We understand that cost can sometimes be a barrier. Support may be available in certain circumstances—please speak in confidence with your Section Team or the Group Lead Volunteer.
