To ensure the smooth running of the Group and a positive experience for all members, we ask parents and carers to follow the expectations below:
Subscriptions should be paid by the due date as set in OSM. This is usually around the month end before half term. start of each term. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please speak in confidence with your Section Team or the Group Lead Volunteer.
Payments should be made via the parent portal (OSM), unless otherwise advised.
Communication on OSM should be read and actioned promptly. We may not respond to requests for information already provided.
Enquiries should be directed to Leaders via email outside of meeting start and finish times, as these are busy periods focused on delivering activities.
Attendance is important. Non-attendance for three consecutive weeks without prior communication may result in your child’s place being offered to another young person.
Uniform must be worn as required, unless otherwise specified by the Section Team.
Event permissions must be completed via OSM and, where required, handed to a Leader in advance. Signing up via OSM to an event will constitute parental permission. For different events we may or may not require written permission (County Events, permission to shoot etc.) and in those instances we cannot accept attendance without completed permission forms.
Complaints should initially be raised with the Section Team. If unresolved, they will be escalated in writing to the Group Lead Volunteer, and then to the District if necessary.
Parental support is expected from time to time, including helping on rotas or supporting fundraising activities.
Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. Serious incidents may result in a young person being asked to leave the Group.
Behaviour expectations must be followed at all times. Persistent non-adherence to the young person’s Code of Conduct may result in removal from the Group, although we will always aim to resolve issues positively where possible.
Contact and medical information must be kept up to date on OSM. We are unable to care for your child safely without this information.
Our Data Protection Policy is available on request.
